About Me
I’ve always been drawn to creativity and problem-solving. Growing up, I spent hours drawing and experimenting with visual storytelling, and in high school, I became fascinated with digital experiences, teaching myself HTML and building my own website layouts. Even then, I was interested in how design could shape how people interact with information.
I went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at York University, where I developed a strong understanding of human behavior, research methods, and social dynamics. Although my path wasn’t linear, this foundation ultimately shaped how I approach design today — with empathy, curiosity, and a deep focus on understanding people and their needs.
After graduating, I explored my creative interests further by completing a Fundamentals of Interior Design certificate at Ryerson University. This experience strengthened my understanding of spatial thinking, structure, and how people move through environments — skills that later translated naturally into digital experience design.
A pivotal moment in my journey came when I moved to Hong Kong for two years. Living and working in a new environment allowed me to explore different creative disciplines and eventually led me back to design through graphic design work. That experience broadened my perspective on culture, communication, and the role design plays in everyday interactions.
When I returned to Toronto, I decided to focus fully on digital product design and enrolled in the UX Immersive program at BrainStation. Through that experience, I discovered my passion for human-centered design and the iterative process of solving complex problems through research, testing, and collaboration.
Outside of my professional work, I find inspiration through travel and meaningful conversations. Experiencing new environments and cultures helps me see problems from different perspectives and challenges my assumptions about how people think and behave. I’ve found that listening to others’ stories and experiences often shapes how I approach design in unexpected and valuable ways. I also enjoy oil painting as a creative outlet. It allows me to explore creativity in a slower, more expressive way and helps me stay connected to the artistic side of design outside of digital products.
My Experience in E-Commerce Design
Over the past several years, I’ve built deep experience designing high-traffic e-commerce platforms, with a strong focus on navigation, search, and browse experiences. I’m particularly passionate about improving product discoverability and helping customers find what they need in ways that feel intuitive and seamless.
My work often involves rethinking large-scale navigation systems, optimizing browse structures, and designing experiences that support both user goals and business outcomes. I enjoy working at the intersection of user behavior, information architecture, and data insights to create scalable solutions that improve conversion, engagement, and overall customer satisfaction.
A consistent strength in my work is simplifying complex workflows into clear, intuitive interactions. I’m energized by untangling complicated product requirements and transforming them into experiences that feel effortless for users while remaining scalable for growing platforms.
My Approach to Design
My approach is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and iteration. I believe the most meaningful design solutions emerge when research, data, business context, and user empathy come together.
I enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams to align on problems, explore ideas, and validate solutions through testing and experimentation. I’m particularly interested in how design systems and platform thinking can create consistency while allowing products to scale and evolve.
Career Growth & Future Direction
As I continue to grow in my career, I’m interested in expanding my impact through leading complex design initiatives, mentoring and supporting other designers, and contributing to strategic product direction. I’m especially curious about how emerging technologies — particularly artificial intelligence — will shape the future of product design and user experiences.
I’m motivated by opportunities to help teams solve meaningful problems at scale, evolve design systems and platform experiences, and create products that balance thoughtful user experiences with measurable business outcomes.
